Lorem Ipsum is the standard placeholder text used by graphic designers, web developers, publishers, and typesetters since the 1960s to demonstrate the visual form of a document or typeface without relying on meaningful content. Our free Lorem Ipsum Generator lets you produce as much filler text as you need, on demand.
Choose how you want your output: by paragraphs (1–20), by sentences (1–100), or by words (1–1,000). You can also toggle whether the output should start with the classic "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..." opening or begin randomizing from the start. Each paragraph is wrapped in standard HTML `<p>` tags for quick copy-paste into CMS content or prototype templates.
The generator draws from a corpus of words and phrases derived from Cicero "De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" — the traditional source of Lorem Ipsum — plus common filler variants. Output is randomized each time you click Generate, so repeated clicks produce different text.
Remember: Lorem Ipsum is for prototype and layout purposes only. Before shipping a real site or document, replace all placeholder text with your actual carefully written copy. Search engines can identify placeholder content and may penalize pages that ship with it, and users find gibberish text confusing and unprofessional.
